What did I hope to learn when I signed up for this class, and what did I actually learn? When I signed up for this class I didn't have a lot in mind as to what I hoped to learn. I feel that I have learned a lot from this class. Most of what I have learned is how to operate the various windows programs or become more efficient with the programs. I have learned how to operate programs I have never used like Microsoft Access, and became more efficient with programs like Microsoft Word.

Is there anything I could have done to been more successful in class, and is there anything the instructor could have done to help me be more successful? I believe I could have applied my self a little more, or possibly retried some of the activities that I didn't feel comfortable with. I believe the instructor done a great job with creating videos and other guides that helped explain what was required for each assignment.

Where will I go from here with computers and technology? I most likely will not do anything else with computers and technology since it does not help with my career choice, and that I also do not have anymore required classes in this area of study.

What do I see as my strengths and weakness with using the technologies and software applications we have learned about this semester? I would say my strengths are more suited to the programs that I have already used, mainly because I will continue to use these programs through school and work related activities. My weakness are seen in the programs that I had not previously used before this class, these weakness will continue since I will not continue to use the programs.

Security and safety concerns

What are the benefits for stores to purchase this technology? Spy mannequins, RFID tags, and phone tracking can help retailers in different ways. Spy mannequins can help a store determine the what group is in what sections of the store, this can help them to target certain audiences when they are advertising or adding new products. RFID technology can have multiple uses but one is that it may eventually replace UPC codes and allow for a greater amount of detail (RFID Recruiter). Phone tracking has a lot of the same benefits as the spy mannequins. Phone tracking allows the retailer to track who is in the store and what parts of the store they are in the most.

What security and privacy issues arise for their use? Some of the main concerns are consent requirements and data privacy (GS Hans). One question that comes up is should the retailer have consent from the customer to track them through out the store? Is it a violation of the customers rights with out consent from the customer. The other questions is when the customer is being tracked throughout the store with these various methods, does it create a security risk to the customers private information?

Term three: Relational database - an electronic database comprising multiple files of related information, usually stored in tables of rows (records) and columns (fields), and allowing a link to be established between separate files that have a matching field, as a column of invoice numbers, so that the two files can be queried simultaneously by the user. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/relational+database

Term four: Disparate data - Disparate data are any data that are essentially not alike, or are distinctly different in kind, quality, or character. They are unequal and cannot be readily integrated to meet the business information demand.  www.dataversity.net/the-five-horsemen-and-disparate-data/
Term five: SharePoint Services - Microsoft SharePoint is a Web application platform developed by Microsoft. First launched in 2001, SharePoint has historically been associated with intranet, content management and document management, but recent versions have significantly broader capabilities.

I could use Access in my daily life by creating charts for income, expenditures, and creating a database of customers information at work.

CIS-110 Sky Drive

I have never used a web page like SkyDrive, but SkyDrive is a good source when someone wants to share or store information outside of their computer.

I believe this class will help me learn about a lot of different programs and websites. After looking over the syllabus and class schedule, I feel that week five safety and security will be the most informative week. I have a very limited knowledge about security programs with computers.
